MEN’S TENNIS HOST USC UPSTATE IN WEEKDAY MATCH

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama No. 29 men's tennis team will face USC Upstate at home on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.  The women's teams of the two schools will be also be squaring off at the same time at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.
 
The Jaguars were a perfect 3-0 in the H-E-B Invitational last week, defeating UTRGV 4-0, Louisiana-Lafayette 4-1 and Arizona 4-0 in the championship match for their first win of the tournament since 2007.  South Alabama has now won 14th-straight matches in the second longest winning streak in program history to improve to 15-2.
 
USC Upstate has started its spring season 3-6 with wins against Radford (6-1) on Jan. 28th, Wofford (6-1) on Feb. 3rd and Gardner-Webb (5-2) on Feb. 28th.  The Spartans have dropped four of their past five matches.
 
The match will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
