MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama No. 46 men's tennis team heads to New Orleans to face Dartmouth on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
The Jaguars have been off for over a week, with their previous match played on last Wednesday. South Alabama played three matches in a four day span in a spring break trip in Florida. The Jags lost to UCF 6-1 on Sunday that snapped a 15-match winning streak, the second-longest in program history. South Alabama defeated Florida Gulf Coast 4-1 on Tuesday but fell 4-3 to George Washington the next day.
"We had a long and hard trip in Florida," said South Alabama head coach Nick Brochu. "We had time to rest and to practice hard. Friday will be a good test for us to get back to the level we set earlier this season."
Dartmouth sports a 6-9 record coming into the weekend and five losses for the Big Green have come to ranked teams. Dartmouth defeated LSU 4-3 on Tuesday and face No. 30 Tulane on Thursday.
This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
