MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama soccer team will build towards its fifth straight Sun Belt Conference title with four dates on its spring schedule released Thursday.
New head coach
Richard Moodie will lead the Jaguars against seven opponents starting in late March.
"The staff and I are very excited to watch our girls play this spring," Moodie said. "All their hard work in the weight room with Coach (
Joey)
Choron and on the field with us, has been very impressive. It will not only be a proud moment to stand on the sideline come March 24, but an opportunity for girls to earn their spot on a team that is set to compete Aug. 18 in our 2017 season opener.
"We are excited and encouraged by their effort and commitment. We look forward to the opportunity to grow and develop as a team this spring against good competition."
On March 24, the Jaguars will participate in a round robin hosted by the University of Mobile, taking on West Florida, Spring Hill and the host Rams, then travel north the following weekend to face Auburn-Montgomery and Alabama State.
South Alabama returns to Mobile on April 8 for its lone home match against Southern Miss at 11 a.m.
The spring slate wraps up April 22 in Orange Beach, Ala. against Mississippi State.
