TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of South Alabama men's tennis player Tuki Jacobs has vaulted up to No. 50 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Singles National Rankings released on Wednesday. Initially ranked No. 91 to start the spring season, Jacobs is the the highest ranked Sun Belt Conference singles player.
Jacobs is a perfect 5-0 in spring action. Playing all but two matches on court No. 1, three of his victories have come in straight sets. He earned a 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 win over Florida State's Aziz Dougaz, ranked No. 71 at the time and now No. 90, in the FSU Invitational on Jan. 14.
South Alabama returns to action on Saturday with a home match against Auburn at 1:00 p.m.
