MOBILE, Ala. – With multiple athletic events at home over the upcoming weekend, the University of South Alabama Department of Athletics has free parking available for fans at several locations over those three days.

On Friday — when the Jag baseball program makes its 2017 debut against Eastern Illinois at 6:30 p.m. (CST), and the softball team faces Butler at 5 p.m. as part of the Mardi Gras Invitational — free parking will be available at the Mitchell Center, along Stadium Drive and in the Gamma parking lot.  Individuals choosing to use the latter option have access to a path between Stanky Field and The Cage in order to access the baseball and softball facilities.

Parking will be available for free in those three places on Sunday as well when South and EIU conclude a three-game series at 1 p.m. and the Jaguars take on Jackson State an hour later to conclude the softball tournament.

On Saturday, however, access to the Mitchell Center lot will be restricted to those with reserved parking credentials as USA plays host to Appalachian State in a men's and women's basketball doubleheader that is slated to tip off at 5 p.m.  Jag softball will play twice that day — at 2 p.m. against Murray State and 7 p.m. in a match-up with McNeese State — while the Jaguars and Panthers will meet on the diamond at 2 p.m.
