MOBILE, Ala. – With the University of South Alabama men's basketball team in the middle of a three-game homestand after winning the Springfield Bracket of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame 2017 Tip-Off Tournament, Josh Ajayi sat down to record this week's edition of "Inside JagNation."
In this episode of the official podcast of Jaguar Athletics, the sophomore forwards talks about what the team did to win both games last weekend and claim the tournament championship, how South can build on that momentum while at home, and how a pair of newcomers on the wing have affected his play thus far this season. Ajayi also discusses his comfort level on the court now compared to this time last year, what is the key to his success, and what he focused on improving following his first season at the collegiate level.
Other topics of the podcast include his move from Nigeria to the United States as a child, what it was like to attend prep school across the country from his family, who else recruited him out of Cheshire (Conn.) Academy and why he chose to become a Jaguar. Ajayi explains what other sport he played growing up that has helped him on the court, the consideration of playing football, and his goals for this season and beyond.
