NEW ORLEANS – The University of South Alabama volleyball team will compete as the No. 5 seed at the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Tournament next week in Jonesboro, Ark.
USA (17-9, 12-4 SBC) finished the regular season in second place in the SBC East Division, and will open the tournament against No. 8 Troy on Thu., Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. The winner of that match will face No. 4 seed Arkansas State at 7:30 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 17.
Coastal Carolina earned the top seed in the tournament after finishing with a league-best 15-1 record in conference matches. Texas State will compete as the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 3 Louisiana, No. 4 ASU, No. 5 USA, No. 6 UTA, No. 7 Appalachian State and No. 8 Troy.
The SBC Tournament will be broadcast live on ESPN3, and available through WatchESPN.com or the ESPN app. Links for live streaming and live stats for each match are available through the championship tab at SunBeltSports.org.
