AUBURN, Ala. – After falling in the round of 64 in singles, Maxine Palmen continued through the consolation bracket Friday at the Oracle/ITA Southern Regional Championships at Auburn's Yarbrough Tennis Center.
 
SINGLES
-Alexandria Stiteler downed McNeese State's Marija Mastilovic 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 in the round of 64 before dropping a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Tea Jandric of Ole Miss.
-Maxine Palmen fell to Mississippi State's Anastasia Rentouli 6-2, 6-1 in the round of 64. In consolation play, she rallied to defeated Ellie Gerlach of Samford 3-6, 7-6, (10-6) in the round of 32.
-Patricia Martins lost to Arianne Hartono of Ole Miss 6-4, 6-1 in the round of 64, and in consolation play, Kennan Johnson of LSU defeated Martins 6-2, 6-3.
-In the round of 64, Alina Zolotareva fell to ULM's Stefana Andrei 6-2, 6-2, then lost 6-3, 6-4 to Troy's Efriliya Herlina in the consolation bracket.
 
DOUBLES
-In the round of 32, Trang Dao and Anja Luethi of New Orleans won 8-7 (7-4) over Stiteler and Zolotareva, and Martins and Palmen fell to Kylie Moulin and Andie Daniel from Alabama 8-3.
 
NOTES
-Palmen and Siteler are each 4-2 in singles after today's matches.
-In doubles, Stiteler and Zolotareva will play Louisiana Tech's Nadja Manjon and Angela Lorenzo, and Palmen and Martins will square off with Dana Radovanovic and Floriane Picaut of Louisiana-Lafayette at 8 a.m. Saturday in the round of 16 of consolation play.
-Palmen will face off against Charoline Erlandsson of McNeese State Saturday at noon in the singles consolation bracket's round of 16.
