THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Matt Luther
On team's performance on opening day of tournament… "The course played extremely difficult today. I think we managed it reasonably well. We definitely made some mistakes. Everybody in the field made mistakes. I thought we hung in there and played two pretty gritty rounds of golf."
On what led to Siti Shaari and Lexi Worrell's improvements… "Siti [Shaari] and Lexi [Worrell] both improved in the second round because they just generally didn't get too down on themselves. Nobody did. Siti definitely hit it better in the second round. Lexi just stayed patient and managed the golf course well."
On the field and how day two of tournament looks… "I don't know how conditions are going to be tomorrow, but the golf course is still going to be difficult. Just stringing pars together should move us up the leaderboard. We're going to worry about what we worry about and let the finish take care of itself."
Up next: The Jaguars finish the ULM Fred Marx Invitational tomorrow with final 18 holes of the tournament. Play begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 CDT.
