SOUTH ALABAMA FOOTBALL GAME AGAINST NICHOLLS STATE SET FOR 6 P.M. KICK ON ESPN3

NEW ORLEANS – The University of South Alabama football program's game time versus Nicholls State on Saturday, Sept. 24 will kickoff at 6 p.m. (CST) as announced by the Sun Belt Conference office on Monday.

The game between the Jaguars (1-1, 0-1 SBC) and the Colonels will be broadcast nationally on ESPN3.

The Jags will travel to Lafayette, La., this weekend for their first SBC road game, taking on Louisiana-Lafayette at Cajun Field.  Nicholls State fell at Georgia (26-24) this past weekend and will host Incarnate Word on Saturday before traveling to Mobile the following weekend.

South Alabama has won both meetings in the series versus the Colonels – both coming in Mobile.  USA defeated NSU, 9-3 in the most recent meeting back during the 2012 season.  The Jaguars also won 39-21 in the first meeting between the two clubs during the 2010 campaign.
