NEW ORLEANS – The University of South Alabama football team and Troy will kick off at 6:30 p.m. (CDT) on Thursday, Oct. 20 in the annual "Battle For The Belt" the Sun Belt Conference office announced on Friday.
It will mark the second straight meeting in the rivalry that the two schools will play a weekday game in Mobile televised nationally on ESPNU, as the Jaguars defeated the Trojans 27-13 on Oct. 24, 2014. Â The two programs have split four all-time match-ups, with USA claiming the last two after earning a 24-18 victory in Troy last fall; each has won one contest at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
The Jags have won their only game broadcast on ESPNU the last two seasons after picking up a win over Louisiana-Lafayette last November.
All other game times for Jaguar football will be released later this year
