INDIANAPOLIS – The University of South Alabama soccer team will travel to Auburn University for the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Division I Women's Soccer Committee announced Monday afternoon.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at noon.

The Tigers (14-6), ranked No. 11 by the NSCAA, are the No. 4 seed in a quadrant led by No. 1 seed Florida.

"We played Auburn earlier in the year and we know they're an extremely talented squad," USA head coach Graham Winkworth said. "They're ranked as high as they are for a reason and we're in for a difficult match this weekend."

South Alabama (15-5-1) earned the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid on Sunday after defeating Coastal Carolina 2-0 in the tournament final, and became the first league school since 2012 to shut out all three opponents.

It will be the Jaguars' fourth straight NCAA appearance; they advanced to the second round last season before falling to eventual national semifinalist Florida State.

Saturday will mark the first time USA has had a rematch in the NCAA Tournament. On Aug. 21 in Mobile, No. 12 Auburn defeated South Alabama 1-0 in double overtime.

"It helps because the girls know they can compete with these teams," Winkworth said. "We managed to beat Florida State, had a close game with Auburn and beat Ole Miss, so we know we can compete with these teams and that's excellent for confidence going in."
