BREANNA HALL SELECTED THIRD-TEAM ALL-SUN BELT

NEW ORLEANS – Coming off a season in which she had career-best in several different categories, University of South Alabama women's basketball player Breanna Hall was named Third-Team all-Sun Belt Conference on Tuesday as announced by the league office.  The 15-member all-SBC squad was selected by the 11 conference coaches and selected media members.

The honor is the first postseason accolade for Hall.  She earned preseason all-conference (third team) honors earlier this season.

Hall ended the regular season ranked fifth in the conference in scoring with 15.4 points per game.  She scored 416 points this season, the first time a Jag player has eclipsed the 400-point mark in a season since the '08-09 season.

She also led the Sun Belt in three-point shooting, knocking down 40.8 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc.  Hall was also among the national leaders in that category, coming in at 27th in the most recent NCAA rankings.

Her 2.4 treys per game were second-most in the league this season.  Hall also ranked third in free throw shooting, connecting on 82.0 percent of her attempts at the charity stripe.

Hall's 64 three-pointers this season are tied with Sarda Peterson (2012) for fourth-most in a season.  She also ranks among the single-season leaders in three-point percentage and free-throw percentage.  Her three-point percentage this season is also tied for seventh with Kim Pompey and her free-throw percentage is second highest at USA.  Hall is the only Jaguar player to shot over 80 percent for her career at the foul line, ending at .809.

The Mesquite, Texas, native recorded double figures in 24 of her 27 games this season, including six games of 20 or more points.  Hall was a consistent offensive weapon for the Jags as she has led the club in scoring 19 times this season.  She had 19 games with two or more three-pointers, including 12 with three or more.
