MONROE, La. – The final round of the ULM Fred Marx Invitational at the Bayou DeSiard Country Club was cancelled Tuesday due to poor weather conditions.
The University of South Alabama women's golf team finished second out of nine teams after shooting 291 and 306, respectively, through the first two rounds for a total of 597 (+21). Murray State took first place with a 296-294 (590, +14) effort Monday.
Five Jaguars recorded top-15 finishes. Lexi Worrell, Julie Hovland, Siti Shaari, and Caroline Berge shot a five-over-par 149 to tie for eighth, while senior MacKenzie Peyton's six-over-par 150 total tied for 14th individually.
USA returns to action Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 22-23, as it travels to Mansfield, Texas for the UT Arlington Invitational at the Walnut Creek Country Club.
