A two-time American Women’s Sports Foundation honorable mention All-American — she was honored in both 1989 and ’90 — Richardson was also named by the organization a Freshman All-America following her first season as a Lady Jag. She ranks 10th all-time on the program’s career record list with 1,294 points, having averaged 10.9 per game over four seasons, and is USA’s all-time leader with 605 assists; she handed out 5.1 per outing throughout her career, including posting a high average of 6.6 assists per contest her sophomore year. Richardson led South Alabama in free-throw percentage each of her four years — her 80.2 percent mark as a senior still ranks second on the school’s season record list — and to this day has the third-highest mark on the all-time record list after converting 76.2 percent at the foul line throughout her career.
