Shemeeka Hopkins was named to the Sun Belt Conference 30-year Anniversary Team after winning nine conference championships and being named all-conference 19 times during her indoor and outdoor track career. She was the holder of seven school records and three Sun Belt Conference Championship records following her senior year and earned the Most Outstanding Performer Award at the 2000 championship. That year, she claimed titles in the 100-meter dash, the 100-meter hurdles, the 200-meter dash and as a member of the 4x100-meter relay team. Indoors, she won the 800 meters in 2000 and helped lead the Jaguars to the 1999 SBC Championships.
