A native of Durban, South Africa, Kuhn lettered for the Jaguars for four seasons from 1991-94. Kuhn won numerous honors during his career as a Jaguar including ITA All-America accolades in singles in 1994. He was a two-time All-American in doubles play (1993-94). He also captured all-Sun Belt Conference honors three times… In 1994, he was names Sun Belt Tournament MVP… He finished his senior season ranked No. 17 in the nation in doubles play and tied for 20th in singles… He ended his career with a record 91-27 (.771) in singles and a 69-28 (.711) mark in doubles… Kuhn achieved success off the court as well. He won the Dr. Fredrick P. Whiddon Lubel Memorial Award and the Dannon Yogurt/Delchamps Athlete of the Year Award in 1994. He received his bachelor’s in business.
