A native of Laurel Hill, Florida, Moore finished her career in 1987 as the all-time leading scorer in South Alabama women’s basketball history (later surpassed by Adrian Vickers) and remains one of only two Jaguars to break the 2,000-point barrier with 2,118 points. She also finished her career ranked first in rebounding (a mark that also later broken by Vickers) and remains one of two Jaguars to have posted over 1,000 rebounds in her career with 1,116. The Jaguar women’s team was 84-32 during Moore’s four-year career and made the school’s only NCAA Tournament appearance her senior year in 1986-87. She was a three-time all-Sun Belt Conference selection, being honored as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and earned All-American Honors as both a junior and senior. Moore ranks fourth on USA’s career steals list, third on the blocked shots list, second in field goals made, third in field goal percentage and first in free throws made. On Jan. 21, 1985 she scored 44 points against Virginia Commonwealth, the second highest single-game total in school history. Moore ranks third all-time in the Sun Belt Conference in both scoring and rebounding. Moore is one of three Jaguar players to lead USA in scoring for three consecutive years and she also led the Jaguars in rebounding on two occasions.
