Mark Johnston was a member of the USA baseball program from 1976 to 1978. During that span, the Jags were 114-40 (74% winning percentage). He was named first team All-American by American Assoc. of College Baseball Coaches in 1978. He was also named to the 1977 All-South Independent Team and 1978 ABCA All-South/Central Region Member. A native of East Detroit, Mich., he hit 42 career home runs, ranking him 2nd All-Time, with 21 in 1978, which ties for the highest total in a single season. He has a 160 career RBI, ranking him 5th All-Time. Johnston was a lifetime .364 hitter which included 180 career hits.
