The first individual on record in program history to post more than 300 kills and 300 digs in the same season and the first Jaguar ever to be named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, Lirette earned two letters at South after transferring from Louisiana State. As a senior, she not only was chosen the league’s player of the year but also was selected first-team all-conference and named to the all-Sun Belt Tournament team after finishing the campaign with 410 kills and 554 digs, totals that ranked second and seventh, respectively, on USA’s season record list at the time of her induction. Her first year at South, Lirette led the squad with 301 digs and an average of 2.53 digs per set while adding 298 kills to help the Jaguars to a 26-11 overall record as USA won three tournament titles — at Troy, Southern Mississippi and New Orleans — that fall. At the time of her induction she still ranked 10th all-time in school history with 855 digs while her 708 kills were the second-highest total recorded in a two-year career.
