One of South Alabama’s best-known baseball players of all time. In his only year at South Alabama, he was named Second Team All-America by the American Association of Collegiate baseball Coaches and third team by Baseball America. He is the third all-time Jaguar Stolen Base Leader with 89 and is second in games played in one season with 69. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1984. In his 7th professional year, Lance was elected to the National Leugue All-Star Team.
