Maybin lettered for the Jags for three seasons from 2002-2004, earning honorable mention All-America accolades from Ping in each of his final two years, going on to be named to the conference’s 30th Anniversary All-Time Men’s Golf Team after leading the league in scoring average as a junior and a senior and winning medalist honors at the 2004 SBC Championships. Maybin helped the Jaguars win the 2002 SBC title and advance to the NCAA East Regional before going on to record back-to-back top-20 finishes as an individual at the NCAA East Regional in each of his final two years, Maybin is the only individual in the school’s record books to have a career scoring average below 72 (71.92), while his 71.33 stroke average as a senior is the lowest on the season record list.
