Chosen a third-team All-American as a senior by Collegiate Baseball and a member of the organization’s Freshman All-America squad in 2006, Doss was also voted first-team all-region by the American Baseball Coaches Association his final year and was a three-time all-Sun Belt Conference selection.  He hit .400 — which ranked fourth in the league — while posting 19 doubles, seven home runs and 39 RBI to help the Jags advance to an NCAA Regional his first season at the collegiate level and be named the conference Freshman of the Year.  The following spring Doss batted .365 with 85 hits including 18 doubles, five triples, eight homers and 52 runs driven in to be selected second-team all-SBC at third base, going on to earn second-team all-conference accolades as a designated hitter his junior year.  As a senior, Doss led South with 12 homers, 20 doubles, 59 RBI and 87 hits while batting .378 to be named first-team all-conference at catcher in addition to making Collegiate Baseball’s All-America team.  Following a four-year career that saw him set all-time school records that still stood at the time of his induction with 312 hits, 70 doubles, 197 RBI and 851 at bats, Doss was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft.
