Summers was named to the Sun Belt Conference’s 30th Anniversary All-Time Women’s Tennis Team, and was the Most Valuable Player of the league championships in each of her final two seasons. She qualified for the NCAA Singles Championships her junior season — ending the year ranked 34th in the country in singles and 40th in doubles — while leading USA to the NCAA Team Championships that spring. As a senior, Summers helped the Lady Jags advance to the regional final with the program’s first two NCAA Tournament wins as she was ranked 57th in the country in doubles and 65th in singles at the end of the year. She earned all-Sun Belt honors in singles three times and doubles on three occasions, and was also voted the league Player of the Week twice, while leading USA to four straight conference championships.
