A two-time participant in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Odumosu earned All-America honors in the event after advancing to the finals her senior year. She won eight individual Sun Belt Conference titles and was also a member of two all-league relay teams — including the distance medley relay team that won its race in 2004 — in three seasons of competition, earning selection to the Sun Belt’s 30th Anniversary All-Time Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Team. Odumosu was named the outstanding track performer at the conference outdoor championship as a junior and a senior after claiming both the 400 meters and 400-meter hurdles races each year, and she was victorious in the two events at the SBC meet when she was a freshman in addition to winning the 400-meter dash at the league indoor championship each of her last two seasons. After setting school records in the indoor and outdoor 400-meter dashes as well as the outdoor 400-meter hurdles, Odumosu would go on to represent Nigeria at the Olympics in both 2008 and ’12, reaching the finals in the 400-meter hurdles in 2012 as well as the ’08 4x400-meter relay; she also advanced to the semifinals of the 400 meters her first time participating in the event.
