Rubit was selected the Jaguar Male Student-Athlete of the Year after averaging 19.4 points and 10.5 rebounds per game — ranking second and first, respectively, in the Sun Belt Conference — while earning All-American honors from CollegeInsider.com.  He was also named first-team all-district by National Basketball Coaches Association and was chosen the SBC Player of the Year after finishing with 16 double-doubles; Rubit ranked in the top 10 in the country in that category as well as rebounding average.  His efforts helped the Jaguars to a 17-13 finish and the program’s first postseason tournament berth since the 2007-08 campaign.
