CARY, N.C. – University of South Alabama baseball sophomore Travis Swaggerty was named to the USA Baseball National Collegiate Team Roster for the Cuba series, as announced by USA Baseball on Sunday.

Swaggerty is one of 13 position players on the squad for the Cuba series, a five-game set scheduled for July 2-7 which will be streamed live on USABaseball.com. The U.S. team is also composed of 13 pitchers. The final 24-man roster will be announced prior to the 41st USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Series, which is scheduled for July 12-17.

Swaggerty earned batting champion honors for his performance during the Chinese Taipei series, which the U.S. swept last week in five games, after leading the team in batting average (.417) and stolen bases (4), and tying for the team lead in on-base percentage (.500).
